Fetch:
6 ripe bananas
500 gr of muffin bran mix
500 gr cake flour
250 ml cooking oil
3 cups of milk
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
3 large eggs
80 ml peanut butter ( optional)
To do:
Beat the eggs, milk, oil together and blend in the peanut butter. Add soft bananas. Sieve cake flour and baking powder. Add muffin mix and bicarbonate of soda. Mix well. Bake for about an for in pre-heated oven. 180 degrees.
Macaroni Cheese Pie.
A packet of macaroni
2 big spoons of margarine
3 big spoons of flour
2 cups of milk
Bit of mustard
Bit of cinnamon
Lots of cheese
1 egg
1 big onion diced
What to do:
Joe’s Red Bean Chili
He searched the cupboard for:
Can of diced tomatoes, Chorizo sausages
Garlic
Glass of white wine for the recipe
Glass of white wine for him
300ml water
What he did:
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onions and sausages. Add the tomatoes and garlic, and cook for 5 min. Add the lentils, thyme, cumin, soya sauce, chili and oyster sauce and white wine. Cover and simmer for 40 min. Stir every now and then. Add the water accordingly. Add the beans and add salt to you taste. Simmer for 10 min, and if you want you can add a can of sweet corn. Serve with Jasmine Rice. My family loved this!
Apple Crumble.
You need:
Either grate the peeled apples or cube them
Sprinkle with a touch of cinnamon. Cook in a bit of water and add 3 teaspoons of maizena mixed smoothly with 60 ml of luke warm water. When soft, fill buttered dish.Mix the rest of the stuff, get your hands in it and start rubbing! Cover the apples with the crumbles.
Bake in oven for 30 minutes until golden brown.
Chorizo/Mieliepap Dish
Salt and pepper
3 cups of cooked krummelpap, cooled down ( see a recipe somewhere)
To do:
Sautee onion in olive oil, and then add potatoes as well and fry until almost done.Skin the sausage and cut in cubes. Fry all together for a couple of minutes. This is time to open your beer for a long sip! Just before you add the mieliepap, add the teaspoon of chili bean sauce for a bite. Add the rest and flavor it with salt and pepper or a touch of Aromat.
Feeds 4 hungry people.

You need:
Freshly caught tuna ( if you are cruising the seas) otherwise go shop
Diced veggies ( whatever you have in the fridge)
To do:
Cut tuna in 1,5 -2cm cubes
Cut onions, carrots and green pepper in thick slices.
Fry onions, carrots, green pepper slices in olive oil for a couple of minutes just to tender them.
Put alternatingly on kebab sticks.
Sauce to marinate the kebabs for 30 min or more:
Olive oil
Barbecue spice (YES, on Tuna it is excellent)
Black pepper
Worcester sauce (South African)
Steak marinade
Mix them all together. Just a bit of each to roll the kebabs in.
When you are ready to eat them:
Grill them very quickly. About 2 minutes on each side. Please don’t overcook!

4-5 Bananas…ripe but tight
Can of condensed milk
15ml of lemon juice
Yolk of one egg
One packet of tennis biscuits
To do;
Crush the tennis biscuits between your fingers and fill your dish for the crust.
Mix all the other stuff together, and spoon the sliced bananas in until covered
Spoon evenly over biscuits.
Bake in pre heated oven ( 180 degrees) for 20 – 30 min until golden brown.
Let it cool down and serve with beaten sugar and carnation milk for a tantalizing experience.

Ingredients:

In a medium bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper,
sugar and baking powder. Stir in eggs and milk. Preheat oil in a deep saucepan over medium heat. Insert
wooden skewers into frankfurters. Roll frankfurters in batter until well
coated. Fry 2 or 3 corn dogs at a time until lightly browned,
about 3 minutes. Drain on paper towels."Mosbolletjies" - made on pasific crossing
1 kg of bread flour
397 gr Condensed milk (i tin)
5 ml salt
500 ml lukewarm water
90 gr margarine or soft butter
15 gr dry yeast
30 ml sugar
Sift flour and salt. Add yeast and sugar. Melt margarine and add condensed milk. Add to flour mixture. Add water gradually to form soft dough. Knead well for 15 minutes. Cover and let rise. When the dough to double in size, knead to form into balls. Place in greased loaf pan and let rise in warm place. When doubled in size, glazed with beaten egg and bake at 200 degrees C for 45 minutes.

15 gram instant yeast
.5 cup lukewarm milk
.75 cup lukewarm water
Sift salt together with flour in large bowl. Stir in sugar and make a well in centre. Dissolve the yeast in the milk and pour in centre of the flour well. Sprinkle little of the flour from around the edges over the yeast mixture. Leave until mixture starts to bubble. Add the water and mix to form dough. Knead for 10 min. until smooth and elastic. Place in lightly oiled bowl, cover and leave to rise double in size. Knock back and leave to rest for 5 min. Divide the dough in 10 pieces, rolling each one in oval shape. Put on baking tray, sprinkle some flour over or cheese etc. cover and leave for 30 min. until double in size. Bake in oven at 230 cel. for 15 min.

What to do:
Cook macaroni in salt water for 10 min. Rinse with cold water.Melt margarine in sauce pan and add flour. Slowly pour in milk, constantly whisking. Simmer for 5 min. Add mustard and cinnamon and about half a cup of cheese. Cook gently. Remove from heat and fold in beaten egg. Heat butter in another pan, and fry onions. Add tomatoes and sweet corn and cook gently for 5 min.
Tip half of macaroni in greased ovenproof dish. Mix well with white sauce and cheese and mix well. Spoon in tomatoe mixture. Add the remaining macaroni, blend in and cover with cheese. Garnish with parsley and bake in oven at 180 degrees for 45 min. If your family are not too hungry, stand for 30 min before serving.

Marco’s Ice cream.
Put a tin of Ideal Milk and a tin of condensed milk in the fridge the day before you want to make the ice cream.
The next day, beat the Ideal milk thoroughly.
Mix with a can of condensed milk and 15 ml lemon juice and for flavor, add vanilla or whatever flavor you fancy. Leave in freezer overnight again and enjoy this with your banana tart or apple crumble.
