It is just getting more beautiful if it is at all possible. I never knew New Zealand was two big islands with so many little ones, and around every corner a little bay.
We dropped anchor at
Kawau Island in front of Mansion House, and with the sun peeping through the clouds and the ducks begging for some around the yacht, we dropped the dinghy to row ashore.

Lunch on Kawau Island (Me, Johan, Carole, Joe and Peter) |
Another beautiful walk was waiting for us, and to Marco and Peters` delight, Carole spotted our first wallaby! We enjoyed a light lunch, not the best, but the ice cream was a treat. Too lazy to sail away, we spend the night, ending up having silly bunny fun, and I ended up with a wet cloth in the face! I won`t spoil the fun for next time, sharing the game with you…
Everything comes to an end! Early the next morning our Skipper sailed us to our final destination! Auckland! Andando was safely berthed in Bayswater Marina, her final destination! We did it! When we finally got her lines attached to Mother Earth, we were all overcome by emotions! Peter didn`t help at all, giving us a hug and a thank you, for bringing his boat safely home! It was exacltly 3 months since we left Trinidad and we did a total of 8976 Nautical Miles across the oceans ! What an experience !

Well done Andando !!! Safe in Auckland your home !!! |
The worst was when I looked out and saw his mom and dad on the jetty, so glad that we all were safe! I so wished it was mine…
We hugged and kissed as if we were old friends, and Marco enjoyed the present of chocolates and our own All Black Flag!

While the men were finishing up at the boat I went searching for food and hot coffee, and Carole found us sweet creamy cappuccino`s at the Marina office. Not even the coffee could keep our Skipper awake, and soon he had a very well deserved rest, after watching over his family on a boat for three months!
